Founded in 1981 and based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Midwest Fiction Writers is a professional writing organization that includes approximately 130 published or aspiring writers. Under the broad umbrella of romance, our members write historicals, contemporaries, time travels, suspense, erotica, women’s fiction – to name just a few. Funny, poignant, erudite – whatever the reader’s taste – our members’ books fill the need.
Check our meetings page for upcoming scheduled meetings and times.
MFW's major workshop - A Fall Harvest of Writing Essentials - brings in national speakers in an event open to members and non-members, writers of all genres.
We are pleased to announce that Donald Maass, renowned literary agent and author, will be holding a workshop for us on Saturday, September 27, 2008. Please bookmark our Workshop page for complete details and a registration form.
