MFW-PAN CYBERNEWS – FEBRUARY, 2005
Midwest Fiction Writers Published Authors’ Network’s
Monthly Online Newsletter

Hello avid readers, wherever you are!
We hope your wallbangers are few, and your keepers are
many.

Thank you for giving our newsletter a try. This is our
first monthly installment, so please bear with us. As a
group, we’re new at this. Our hope is to let you know the
moment our members’ books hit store shelves and to pique
your interest in our stories. You’ll find lots more
information on our web site at www.midwestfiction.com,
which is linked to the individual web sites belonging to
the authors featured this month, along with many more of
you favorites.

Midwest Fiction Writers is the Minneapolis chapter of
Romance Writers of America. Any MFW member of the group
who is published with an RWA-recognized publisher is
considered a PAN member. Authors often join our group when
they visit us for a conference. Sometimes an author moves
away, but he or she is always welcome to retain membership.
We have a few members who aren’t enjoying the healthy
benefits of a Minnesota winter, but we send them regular
care packages to keep their spirits up while they toil away
in some snow-deprived clime. Cait London and Roz Denny Fox
happen to be two good examples. Cait lives in Missouri,
and Roz is a desert Fox. They’re your Valentine’s Day
treats.

SHE WALKS THE LINE
Roz Denny Fox
Harlequin Superromance (ISBN 0-373-71254-5)

Mei Lu Ling is a woman from a traditional Chinese family.
Her parents strongly disapprove of her career. Mei is
determined not to let her personal life interfere with her
job—except she’s handed a case to help solve—stolen Chinese
antiquities. A case that leaves her father, owner of an
import company, a prime suspect.
Cullen Archer, a Houston based insurance investigator,
needs the translating expertise of Lieutenant Ling.
Personally, he finds her very attractive. Too attractive.
A fact that complicates the case he’s working on with
Interpol. Cullen’s feelings for the Houston cop
jeopardizes his case and tangles both their lives.

She Walks The Line is book five in a 6-book Superromance

still dominated by men makes their friendship falter in
book 1, October, The Partner is by Kay David, November Book
2, The Children’s Cop by Sherry Lewis, December Book 3, The
Witness by Linda Style, January Book 4, Her Little Secret
by Anna Adams, February–my book is # 5, and the series ends
in March with K.N. Casper’s, A Mother’s Vow which reunites
the Houston cops again.

HIDDEN SECRETS
Cait London
Avon (ISBN 0-06-055589-0)

The truth is right in front of her eyes...and the truth can
kill.

A series of deaths and the strange disappearance of a young
boy from the car crash that killed his parents tune up
Marlo Malone's unwanted psychic skills. The sickening
intuition that these incidents are connected--and that the
men in her life are somehow involved shatter her carefully
framed, peaceful life.

Her careful, considerate boyfriend Keith is holding dark
secrets. Spence, the missing boy's charismatic uncle, is
angry and tormented, and capable of anything. And a
terrifying premonition is warning Marlo that unless she can
uncover the truth, something horrible is about to
happen...again.

Marlo Malone knows what her neighbors dare not suspect. A
murderer is hiding among them, a killer who's coming for
Marlo next...

A Note from Cait:
I love writing twisted tales, that is, they are filled with
twists. HIDDEN SECRETS has been labeled as a paranormal,
romance, suspense, thriller and chiller, or what writers
call "a kitchen sink" book, and what I hope is a"good
read."
The setting is in the high Cascade Mountains,
Washington state, where I worked and hiked during college
breaks, and those fond memories just had to come out in a
story. You'll find quite a bit about the back story of
HIDDEN SECRETS at my website, and
muchabout my thoughts in general and the craft of writing
in my popular blog,.
Currently, I'm hard at work, promoting this book and others
and setting up the rest of the year. Watch for
upcoming books, including another romantic suspense in
December. I'd love to hear from you; autographed bookmarks,
email and an enewsletter subscription are available at my
website.
